Our Story

IMG_0413.JPG

At The Dood Ranch our dogs are family. Each and every puppy is doted on just as if it were the first and only puppy ever born here. We cherish every moment and bittersweet goodbye. We take great care of our dogs and puppies.

When we select homes for our puppies we allow you to name your puppy which we will send updates every two weeks, in the form of either pictures or videos. BUT, we still may not be the right fit for YOU. So please read below and understand, it's okay to be picky about where your next family member comes from, we all have to protect the ones we love!

Breeding Program

Our Breeding Program here at The Dood Ranch consists of several carefully selected females and males. We specialize in Toy Poodles, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Cavapoos.

Puppy Policies

Visitation Policy

We are aware that many people would like to visit with our puppies before purchase. While we completely understand and would love to allow it, in home visits are not allowed. The safety of our family (furry ones included) comes first. We are family owned and operated with four children to keep safe.

There is also the risk that you could bring a virus to our beloved puppies. Our puppies are very fragile and can easily become sick from contact with humans and other animals at their age.

This is our policy and it is not flexible.

Deposit

Deposit

We require a deposit of $400.00 to reserve your puppy.

We currently accept deposits via

Venmo, Zelle or Cash App.

Deposits are NON Refundable with only one exception; IF the puppy reserved were to be found to be unhealthy before time of pickup, deposit will be refunded. Other than any unforeseen health issues, deposits will not be refunded for ANY additional reason.

If a buyer becomes unable to house said puppy for any reason, for instance loss of job, deposit can be transferred to any future litter. Transfer of deposit will not be allowed if last minute notice is given, i.e. (you back out the week of pickup.) (Or you back out on a puppy who is already over 8 weeks old.)

Litter Updates

Updates will be either pictures or videos.

Updates will be posted every two weeks, usually at ages 2, 4 & 7 weeks. Depending on my schedule.

Asking for Additional Pictures/Videos

Please do not Email, Text, Facebook or Instagram message us asking for more pictures of a litter/your puppy. We understand you are excited and love seeing the pups! We want you to see them too, and we want you to be kept as up to date as possible. However, raising puppies is A LOT of work. We love it, but our priority is making sure puppies are healthy and growing. We are spending time watching puppies to keep them safe, handling and socializing, feeding, cleaning up after the pups, doing puppy laundry, taking care of moms, and monitoring everyone's health. Pictures are an extremely lengthy process because we can't exactly ask the pups to sit still for their photoshoot. Taking individual pictures of a litter of 6-10 puppies can easily take 3-4 hours, and that's without the process of getting them onto the computer, fixing any lighting issues, and uploading them to the website. While we want you to feel you have received adequate pictures of your pup, our priority is and always will be the physical and emotional well-being of the puppies and moms in our care.

We do not do on demand updates. Everything is done on a schedule. I am a full time single mother of four. Besides raising puppies and my four amazing children, I am also going to school part time. I do my very best to schedule time to do photo shoots or videos for updates. Updates will not always be posted on exactly the day a puppy turns 2, 4 or 7 weeks. They will be done at some point during those weeks.
